Government of India has threatened to ban BlackBerry
Government of India has demanded that the local operators to provide special services of the country access to the data exchanged between users of the smartphone BlackBerry. According to AFP, authorities have threatened to block the operators BlackBerry services in the event that they are not meeting the requirement to 31 August 2010.
In an exchange of messages in the BlackBerry uses special encrypted channels, which greatly complicates the interception of data as hackers and security services. In addition, user data is stored on servers in the U.S. and the UK, raising concerns intelligence.

It is known that the organizers of the attacks in Mumbai in November 2008, used precisely BlackBerry.

In August 2010 has already been announced to ban the smartphone in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia. Intelligence agencies of these countries also explained the measure on security grounds.
