Spike Lee made a film about Hurricane Katrina |
For the filming Lee returned to New Orleans five years after the city suffered from the disaster. Producer tried to show how the plans for rebuilding the city were put into practice. Note that in 2006 the director took another documentary about the same disaster. It was called "When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts" ("When the dam burst: Requiem in Four Acts").
The new film will be shown Lie channel HBO on 23 and 24 August. Director has already managed to show some fragments of tape residents of New Orleans - premiered at the theater named after Mahalia Jackson.
In Spike Lee's filmography, there are several dozen films, including such bands as "Jungle Fever," "Malcolm X" and "not caught - not a thief." In addition, the director worked on the video for the song Public Enemy, Prince and Michael Jackson. In 2009, Lee also made a documentary film "Kobe Doin 'Work", dedicated to American basketball player Kobe Bryant.
