In the north-west Spain, two people died in fighting forest fires, according to AFP. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was arson.
The incident occurred near the town Fornelos de Montes in Galicia. Fatalities, staff fire stations 27 and 35 years, one of the first arrived at the fire Thursday evening, August 12. Soon the relationship with them was lost. Their bodies were found in the vicinity of midnight.

The total area of the fire exceeded 100 hectares. By August 13 the flames have been contained.

According to the authorities of Galicia, now investigators are trying to establish the cause of ignition. As the Associated Press, on the spot fire occurred four fires. In this regard, investigators have put forward a preliminary version of arson. At the same time, do not exclude the hypothesis of a natural cause of fire.

Fornelos de Montes is located near the border with Portugal, where in the summer forest fires occur frequently.
