Intel buys McAfee to 7,68 billion dollars
Intel has agreed to buy the company McAfee, specializing in the production of anti-virus software and other solutions related to IT-security, writes Wall Street Journal.
The deal amounted to 7,68 billion dollars. This corresponds to $ 48 for each share of McAfee, which is 60 percent above the previous stock price antivirus company.

McAfee will become part of the unit Intel, engaged in software and services. By becoming part of Intel, the company will pay particular attention to safety cell phones, TVs, ATMs and other Internet-connected devices.

Boards of directors of both companies unanimously approved the transaction. Intel reported that the purchase of McAfee in the first year of a little decrease net profit corporation, reports Reuters. McAfee, whose revenue in 2009 totaled nearly $ 2 billion, has not yet received approval by the shareholders. In addition, the company would have to agree a deal with state authorities.
